Client accounts (workspaces)
Davies CXsmart is a multi-tenant platform: many organisations use it at once, and each one's data is kept completely separate. The container that holds one organisation's data is a client account — you may also hear it called a workspace or tenant. They all mean the same thing.
What lives in a client account
Everything you work with is scoped to a single client account:
- Surveys and their questions
- Responses and verbatim comments
- Agents, teams, and dimensions
- Dashboards, saved views, and KPI configuration
- Alerts, leads, and coaching
- Admin settings, users, and roles
When you're signed in and looking at a screen, you're always looking at exactly one client account's data.
Data isolation
Client accounts are isolated from one another. A response in one account is never visible from another, search never crosses accounts, and metrics never blend data across accounts. This separation is enforced by the platform — there's nothing you need to configure to keep your data private from other tenants.
Switching between client accounts
Most people only ever work in one client account. But if you support several — for example, an analyst who covers multiple brands, or a Davies team member working across clients — you'll have access to more than one.
When you do, a client-account switcher appears at the left of the top header:
- Click the switcher.
- Choose the account you want to work in.
- The whole app reloads scoped to that account — surveys, dashboards, responses, filters, everything.
Switching accounts is a full context change. Any filters or views you'd set up apply to the account you set them in; when you switch, you start fresh in the new account's data.
Users and access
Your administrator decides which client accounts you can reach and what you can do inside them. Access is governed by roles (configured under Configure → Admin), so two people in the same account may see different tools depending on their role. If you're missing something you expect to see, your role may not include it — ask your administrator.
