Using filters
The filter bar is the strip that sits just under the header on every Analyse screen — Dashboards, Responses, Verbatim, KPI, Reports, and Alerts. It's the single control that decides which slice of feedback the whole page is showing.
The filters are shared across the Analyse screens, so a slice you set up on Dashboards still applies when you switch to Responses or Verbatim. Each screen only shows the controls that make sense for it, so you'll notice the bar offers slightly different options depending on where you are.
The inline controls
Two controls always sit directly on the bar where pages use them:
Surveys
A multi-select. Tick one or more surveys, or leave it on All surveys to include every survey you can access. Choosing a single survey scopes the page to just that questionnaire.
Date range
A dropdown of presets plus a custom option:
| Preset | Window |
|---|---|
| All time | Everything |
| Today | The current day |
| This week | Monday to now |
| This month | The 1st to now |
| Last 7 / 30 / 90 days | A rolling window |
| Last 12 months | The past year |
| Custom range… | Pick exact From and To dates |
Choosing Custom range… reveals two date pickers so you can set an exact start and end.
On the Alerts screen the bar also shows an alert-type dropdown (detractor, score-below-threshold, keyword, question-option) instead of channel controls.
More filters
Click More filters to open a panel with the advanced controls. A small number badge tells you how many advanced filters are currently active. Depending on the screen, the panel offers:
- Channels — multi-select across Web, Email, SMS, IVR Inbound, IVR Outbound, and Embedded. Empty means all channels.
- Trend by — for trend charts, aggregate by Day, Week, or Month.
- Team — restrict to one team (subscriber) in your hierarchy.
- Agents — multi-select one or more agents.
- Dimension — pick an agent dimension (Custom1–4) and a value to filter by.
- Combine filters (AND/OR) — see below.
- Show only toggles — Alerted responses, Completed responses, and With notes.
- Saved views — load, save, and manage views.
Match all vs match any (AND / OR)
By default, filters combine with AND: a response must match every active filter to appear. Switch Combine filters to Match any (OR) and a response only needs to match one of them — useful when you want, say, "anything from SMS or the web", rather than the intersection.
When OR-mode is on, a Match: any chip appears on the bar to remind you.
Filter chips
Each advanced filter you set drops a small chip onto the bar (for example Channel: Email or Team: Retail). Click the × on a chip to clear just that filter, or use Clear to remove all advanced filters at once. Surveys and date range aren't shown as chips — they're always visible inline.
The "Show only" toggles explained
| Toggle | Keeps only responses that… |
|---|---|
| Alerted responses | raised an alert. |
| Completed responses | are complete (excludes partials). |
| With notes | have at least one note attached. |
Tips
:::tip Start broad, then narrow Begin with All surveys and a sensible date range, read the numbers, then add channel, team, agent, or dimension filters to chase down what you've spotted. :::
:::tip Save what you reuse If you keep rebuilding the same combination, save it as a view and even make it your default so it loads automatically. :::
